Obituary for Rena "Faye" Johnson
Rena Faye Nash Johnson was born on April 24, 1941, in Landsaw, KY the fifth child of William and Marie Nash. She attended school at Paint Valley in Bainbridge, OH. She married Robert Rapp, and they became the parents of Robert Dean Rapp, Timothy Lee Rapp, and Anthony Lynn Rapp. After 9 years of marriage, they divorced.
She went on to marry Clarence Samuel Sam Johnson, and to this union Jason Sam Johnson was born. They moved around for several years before settling down in Mapleton, Iowa.
For many years, Faye was a stay-at-home mom while Sam drove truck. After Sam was forced to retire due to illness, she began working at Maple Heights Nursing Home and Mapleton BP. Once she retired, she enjoyed afternoon coffee with friends from around the community.
She was diagnosed with lung cancer in Fall of 2015. She fought a hard battle but ultimately lost the fight on Christmas Eve, 2015.
Survivors are three sons, Tim Rapp of Mapleton, Tony Rapp and his wife, Rhonda of Onawa, and Jason Johnson and his wife, Dana of Blencoe; 9 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Sam; her son, Bobby; her parents, William and Marie Nash; two brothers, Roger and Bill; and a sister, Emma.
