Thomas “Tom” Peters, age 62 of Correctionville, Iowa, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, at the Willow Dale Wellness Village of Battle Creek, Iowa.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Mt. St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery of Anthon, Iowa. Father Michael Erpelding will officiate.
A Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Armstrong-Van Houten Funeral Home of Anthon, Iowa.

Thomas Lee “Tom” Peters, the son of Laurence L. and Sharon K. (Weber) Peters, was born on August 6, 1963, in Battle Creek, Iowa. He grew up in the Smithland, Anthon, and Correctionville, Iowa, areas. Tom received his education from River Valley High School graduating with the class of 1981.
After graduating high school, Tom entered the workforce and held a variety of positions. In May 1991, he met his special friend, Sherry Sowell. In his spare time, Tom enjoyed being with friends, mowing, and playing cards, dice, and bingo. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory include his mother Sharon Peters of Correctionville, IA; special friend Sherry Sowell of Correctionville, IA; brothers Larry Peters and Terry Peters both of Correctionville, IA; nieces and nephews Brody, Lucas, Lindsay, Katie, and Terry Jr.; cousins, extended family, dear friends, and his beloved pets.
He was preceded in death by his father Laurence Peters; paternal grandparents Ed and Bessie Peters; maternal grandparents Louis and Frances Weber.
