Obituary for Scott R. Moore
Scott Russell Moore, 51 of Loveland died unexpectedly from a heart attack on September 9, 2015. A Prayer Service was held at St. John's Lutheran Church in Fort Collins, Colorado. A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 26, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery in Mapleton, Iowa. Pastor Don Studley will officiate. The family is receiving condolences on line at www.armstrongfuneral.com. ξScott was born in Sioux City, Iowa on March 7, 1964 to James R. Moore and Judy P. " Kafton" Moore. He was baptized and was confirmed at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Mapleton, Iowa. ξScott graduated from Maple Valley High School with the class of 1982. He then served in the U.S. Navy from 1983 to 1990. After being honorably discharged Scott worked as a project manager for Siemen's Corp in California for 21 years until they closed, General Electric Union Pacific in Scottsbluff, Nebraska and then Walmart Distribution Center in Loveland. Scott enjoyed mountain biking, camping, grilling, movies, computers, hanging out with friends and family, and lending a helping hand to whom ever needed it. Scott was married to Allison Moran for 21 years and later divorced. When his children were younger, he actively participated in their sports and school activities. He was a very warm hearted and loving person, and even though he lived at a distance from his children, they were always in his heart. Scott appreciated phone calls from his children and strived to be a better father for them. He loved to gather with family and friends, and he will be missed by so many. His passing is a great loss for the family, but his is in the hands of the Lord. Scott is survived by his children Robert of Concord, California, Arielle, Brandon, and Ashlyn of Chandler, Arizona; parents, Jim and Judy Moore of Ft. Collins, Colorado; two brothers, Mark of Ft. Collins, Colorado and his partner Jenna of Laramie, Wyoming, Todd and his wife Bobbi of Danbury, Iowa; a niece Kysa Moore of Danbury, Iowa, two step nieces, Haley and Samantha; a step nephew Derek all of Danbury, Iowa; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a special partner Christy Poole of Loveland, Colorado. Preceding Scott in death were his grandparents, Howard and Alice Moore, and Herluf and Wilma Kafton; two aunts, Arlene Woodward and Beverly Moore, three uncles, Lyle Woodward, Roland Moore, and Roger Moore; three cousins, Dennis Moore and Troy and Cindy Kafton.
