Obituary for Rosella N. Marsh
Rosella N. Marsh Mapleton, Iowa - Rosella N. Marsh, 96, of Mapleton, Iowa passed away Friday, July 18, 2014 at Burgess Health Center in Onawa, Iowa. The funeral service will be Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's United Methodist Church in Mapleton with Pastor Jena Manchester officiating. Burial will be in Grant Township Cemetery near Rodney, Iowa. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 22 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton. There will be a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. The family is receiving on line condolences at www.armstrongfuneral.com. A memorial fund is being established in Rosella's name. They may be left at or mailed to Armstrong Funeral Home, 210 South 5th Street, Mapleton, Iowa 51034. Rosella Nadine Marsh was born July 14, 1918, in Collis. Minnesota, the daughter of Ted and Anna (Johnson) Marsh. She moved to Iowa with her parents in 1932. She received her education in Minnesota and Iowa. She liked living in the country to raise a big garden and grow many pretty flowers. She liked to cook and in her spare time do crocheting. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends and getting together with the Birthday Ladies at the Beef N Brew in Mapleton. Those left to cherish Rosella's memory include one sister. Lorraine and her husband Roger Weinbrandt of Denison, Iowa and one brother, Dale and his wife Judie of Wall Lake, Iowa; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; baby brother, Robert, sister, Darlene and her husband Vernon Schiltz, sister, Eleanor and her husband, Lawrence Martin, brother, Earl Marsh, brother, Norman and his wife, Louise Marsh.
