Obituary for Robert S. Garule
Robert Garule, age 58, of Mapleton, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at the Burgess Health Center of Onawa, Iowa.
Memorial Services will be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, October 24, 2020, at the Faith Bible Church of Mapleton, Iowa. Pastor Travis Kaufman will officiate. A Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Saturday, October 24, 2020, at the Faith Bible Church of Mapleton, Iowa.

Robert Stephen Garule, the son of Leonard and Donna (Oglesby) Garule, was born on August 4, 1962, in Omaha, Nebraska. He was raised and received his education in the Omaha area. After high school, Robert began working in construction. He worked for numerous contractors over the years. His most recent employment was with H&R Construction in South Sioux City, Nebraska.
On January 8, 1983, Robert was united in marriage to Sandee A. Williams. The couple was blessed with six children: Joshua, Stephanie, Megan, Jesse, Dakota and Annee. The family made their home in rural Mapleton, Iowa, so they could enjoy life in a rural community and live in the country.
Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles. Family was his greatest joy. He relished time spent with them; especially swimming in the summer. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory include his wife Sandee Garule of Mapleton, IA; his children Stephanie (Ashley) Garule of Sioux City, IA, Megan Garule of Castana, IA, Jesse (Stephanie) Garule of Austin, TX, Dakota Garule of Mapleton, IA and Annee Garule of Mapleton, IA; three grandchildren: Effie Garule, Nash Cleveland and Cruz Cleveland; sister Diana (Bill) Hoagland of Bennington, NE; sisters-in-law Ann Garule of Hooper, NE and Cheryll Garule of Shenandoah, IA; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Donna Garule; son Joshua Garule; brothers Michael, Skeeter and Richard Garule; and nephew “Lil Skeeter”.
