Pamella Mae Palmer was born November 8, 1943, at Mapleton, Iowa, the daughter of Carl and Helen (Driscoll) Weifenbach. She grew up in the Mapleton area and received her education at St. Mary's Catholic School. Pam was married to Warren Palmer, Sr. and together they had four children, one girl and three boys. Over the years, she worked and lived in various communities in the Siouxland area and settled in Anthon, Iowa. She moved to her home in Correctionville in 1989. From it's origin, Pam worked as a waitress at the Fireside Steakhouse in Anthon. She worked hard there for over 35 years, serving her customers efficiently with a smile and a quick conversation. People not only came there for the food but also to sit in Pam's section, receive great service, and maybe a little of Pam's humor. She loved ribbing people. Pam loved to crochet and that is evident by the numerous afghans in her home and those she shared with family and friends. She liked watching birds and working in her yard, gardening, and flowers. She loved her dogs, Abby, who died sometime ago and currently her dog and buddy, Pirate. Pam liked to spend time at the casino and was known to play a few similar games on her computer. She was a fan of Facebook where she enjoyed keeping up with her many Facebook friends. Above all, Pam's passion was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her one great grandson. They loved being with her too and will miss her place in their lives. Those family members mourning Pam's passing are her children, one daughter, Terri Libke and her significant other Steve Terry of Holstein, Iowa, her three sons, Leonard "Lenny" Palmer and his significant other, Pam Hellman of Des Moines, Iowa, Michael "Mike" Palmer and his wife, Marla of Bracketville, Texas, and Warren Palmer, Jr. and his significant other, Debra Gitlin-Moore of Mesa, Arizona; her six grandchildren, Jeffrey and Nicholas Libke, Kyle, Nathan, Brent, and Luke Palmer; her great grandson, Tyler Palmer; her five brothers, Richard "Dick" Weifenbach, Daniel "Danny" Weifenbach, Randy Weifenbach, and Roger Weifenbach; three sisters, Sandra Kidd and her husband, John, Carmen Mead and her husband, Richard, and Terri Faux and her husband, John; along with many nieces and nephews and extended family members.
