Maryann Halupka, age 62, of Oto, Iowa, (formerly of New Jersey) passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at her residence of Oto, Iowa.

Maryann Halupka, was born on November 21, 1957, in Lyndhurst, New Jersey. She was raised in Lyndhurst and received her education there graduating from Lyndhurst High School. After high school, Maryann attended a community college for bookkeeping and then entered the workforce.
Maryann met her significant other, Douglas Fuqua, in 1996. In 1998, Maryann moved from New Jersey to Monroe, Iowa, to be closer to Douglas. While living in Monroe, Maryann worked part-time at Casey’s General Store and Kum & Go. Due to an employment change for Douglas, the couple moved to Oto, Iowa in 2008. Health issues prevented Maryann from working after they moved. She enjoyed gardening and tending to their animals.
Left to cherish her memory include her significant other Douglas Fuqua of Oto, IA; sisters Della, Karen and JoAnn of New Jersey; niece and nephews Renee, Johnny and Steven Schafer of New Jersey; and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Frankie and Donny Halupka.
