Obituary for Marlene S. (White) McKenna
Anthon, Iowa - Marlene S. (White) McKenna, of Barling, Arkansas, and formerly of Anthon, Iowa went to be with the Lord on March 3, 2014. The Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, March 8, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oto, Iowa, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Dan Greving officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at Oto. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Armstrong Funeral Home of Anthon is in charge of the arrangements. The family is receiving condolences on line at www.armstrongfuneral.com Marlene S. (White) McKenna was born August 5, 1952 in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Harold and Joan F. (Fitzpatrick) White. She was a graduate of Anthon-Oto High School and was united in marriage to Cecil McKenna. The couple were blessed with four children and have made their home in Barling, Arkansas. Marlene was a former employee of Simmons Foods for 15 years in the QA Dept. and Carmen Trucking for 11 years before having to leave for her illness.ξ She has left behind her husband Cecil McKenna of 40 years, 3 daughters Tammy Cain and husbandξ Freddy of California, Michelle Robine and husband Joseph of Greenwood, AR., Cheryl McKenna of Barling and a son Michael McKenna and his wife Vanessa of Van Buren, 2 sisters Coleen McKenna and husband Bill of Garrettson, South Dakota and Patricia Deeds and husband Dan of Correctionville, Iowa and her beautiful grandchildren whom she adored, Briana Robine, Zachery McKenna, Dakota Watson, Kaitlyn Robine, Ashton McKenna and Mabrey and Ava McKenna; along with several friends and her amazing cancer support group, the Reynolds Cancer Support. She was preceded in death by her parents Harold "Moe" and Joan White, and 2 brothers Paul and John White. ξ
