Mark Huffman, age 60, of Cushing, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center of Omaha, Nebraska.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a Time of Remembrance at 5:00 p.m., Friday, August 29, 2025, at the Little Sioux Heritage Shelter at Little Sioux Park in Correctionville, Iowa.

Mark Allen Huffman, the son of Charles “Bob” and Florine (Kurth) Huffman, was born on December 23, 1964, in Battle Creek, Iowa. He grew up in the Anthon, Iowa, area and received his education from Anthon-Oto High School graduating with the class of 1983. After high school he went on to attend Western Iowa Tech Community College.
Mark spent nearly 30 years with Gelita USA Inc. in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, where he most recently worked as a forklift operator.
He had a love for life’s simple pleasures—casting a line on a quiet lake, a round of golf with friends, or a good crossword puzzle. What he valued most, though, was time with his family and grandchildren. Mark also enjoyed relaxing with a cold Busch Light and sharing stories with friends. His warmth, humor, and kindness will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory include his significant other of 25 years, Jill Howard of Cushing, IA; children Kaysi, Davis; Karsson, and Brock Huffman; stepchildren Shawna (Bret) Schlenger, Ben Rabbass, and Sara (Ben) Van Houten; 12 grandchildren: Theo Huffman, Braelynn, Paige, Calvin, Bentley, Evelyn, and Reese Schlenger, Payton and Kara Jo Rabbass, Gabe, Kaleb, and Cambria Van Houten; siblings Debbie (Gary) Finneman of Anthon, IA, Byron (Barb) Huffman of Anthon, IA, Stan (Kerry) Huffman of Correctionville, IA and Cynthia Ketelsen of Anthon, IA; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles “Bob” and Florine Huffman; and nephew Jake Huffman.
