Mark Allen “Goober” LeFebvre was born on March 14, 1961, in Sioux City, Iowa, to E.J. and Germaine (Mester) LeFebvre. He graduated from Maple Valley High School with the class of 1979. Shortly after he graduated, he moved to California. On December 28, 1986, he married the love of his life Dawn (Leone) LeFebvre and raised three amazing daughters. In 1992, Mark and his family relocated back to Mapleton.

Throughout his life Mark worked as a mechanic, carpenter, and in construction. His true lifelong passion was mechanics and he was known as a jack of all trades.

You often found Mark enjoying fishing, hunting, and tinkering on cars and motorcycles. In his younger days he was involved in demolition derbies and doing wheelies on his motorcycle around town. He enjoyed a drive around town with faithful four legged companion Gary and lending a hand to anyone in need. Mark’s collection of parts and tools will live on forever.

Marks grandchildren were his true treasure in life and brought him pure joy. They made his fight worth every second knowing his legacy will live on through them.

Mark is survived by his wife Dawn (Leone) LeFebvre of Mapleton, IA; daughters Ashley (Jimmy) Moravek of Sioux City, Stephanie (Stephen) Kuehl of Dakota Dunes, SD, Gabby (Justin) Menard of Sioux City, IA, Brandi Stomer of Coon Rapids, IA; grandkids: William, Brantley, Reece, Madison, Daniel and Aisley; siblings: Suellen (Richard) Thompson of Dripping Springs, TX, Thomas (Susan) LeFebvre of Mapleton, IA, Eddie (Lois) LeFebvre of Omaha, NE, Andy (Tina) LeFebvre of Oceanside, CA, Rich (Amy) LeFebvre of Glendale, AZ, sister-in law Connie LeFebvre of Prescott, AZ; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents E.J. and Germaine LeFebvre; brothers Michael and Wally LeFebvre.

The family would like to give a special thank you the June E. Nylen Cancer Center, Horn Memorial and Hospice of the Midwest.
