Obituary for Lynn Boyle
Lynn Boyle, 56, of Danbury, Iowa died Friday, June 10, 2016, at Burgess Health Center in Onawa, Iowa. The funeral Mass will be Tuesday, June 14 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Danbury with Rev. Dan Greving officiating. Burial will be in the Danbury Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church Monday, June 13 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary by St. Mary’s Rosary Society at 5:00 p.m. and a Vigil Wake Service at 7:00 p.m. Armstrong Funeral Home of Danbury and Mapleton has been entrusted with the arrangements and the family is receiving condolences on line at www.armstrongfuneral.com.
Lynn Boyle, 56, of Danbury, Iowa died Friday, June 10, 2016, at Burgess Health Center in Onawa, Iowa.
Lynn Patricia Boyle was born August 10, 1959, to Maurice and Gloria (Bidner) Welte in Sioux City, Iowa. She atended St. Mary’s Catholic Grade School in Danbury, Iowa and Maple Valley High School in Mapleton, Iowa, graduating with the class of 1978. She then attended St. Joseph School of Nursing in Sioux City.
On June 21st 1980, Lynn married Pat Boyle in Danbury, Iowa. They had three children, Sheri, Brenda, and Terry. Lynn and Pat raised their three children on the family farm outside of Danbury where they have lived since 1980.
In addition to farming, Lynn found her career in the service field. She worked in Battle Creek, Iowa at Willow Vale Nursing Home and with the disabled at ISI. THe majority of her career she has trained high school students on how to prepare for, obtain, and retain employment, mainly in the Holstein area. Lynn also volunteered her services to the community as an EMT and as a member of St. Mary’s Parish and Rosary Society.
When not working, Lynn enjoyed gardening, mowing, riding motorcycles, and traveling. Her traveling has taken her to many locations including Alaska, Mexico, the Redwood Forest, Colorado, and the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Lynn’s most cherished times were those spent with the family, especially the grandkids.
Lynn is survived by her husband of 35 years, Pat Boyle; her children, Sheri (Dave) Jensen of Castana, Iowa, Brenda (Ryan) Neubaum of Danbury, Iowa, and Terry Boyle of Danbury, Iowa; her grandchildren, Bradley, Haley, Austin, Kadance, Shane, and Connor; her mother, Gloria Welte of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; her siblings, Ann (Dave) Vandivort of Kansas City, Missouri, Karen (Mike) Stotz of Sloan, Iowa, Don Welte of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, and Renee Welte of Sioux City, Iowa; along with nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Lynn was preceded in death by her father, Maurice Welte.
