Leonard “Lenny” Reising, age 77, of Onawa, Iowa (formerly of Mapleton, Iowa), passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024, after a brief illness.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery of Mapleton, Iowa. Father Richard Ball will officiate.

Leonard “Lenny” John Reising was born on March 26, 1947, in Carroll, Iowa, the son of Gregory William and Agnes Catherine (Janning) Reising. The family moved to Mapleton, Iowa, when Lenny was 3 years old.
Lenny spent most of his lifetime in Mapleton where he worked several years at an auto dealership. He also worked for a manufacturing business in Onawa, Iowa, for a number of years.
Socializing with his many friends, lending a helping hand to others, and keeping up with current events were some of Lenny’s greatest delights. He enjoyed his last several years spent at the Elmwood Care Center of Onawa and was very appreciative of the fine care he received there.
Survivors include his brother Eugene “Gene” (Dolores) Reising of Los Angeles, CA; sister-in-law Shirley of Junction City, OR; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Gregory and Agnes Reising; sister Mildred; and brothers Melvin, Elmer, Raymond, and Kenneth.
