Obituary for Kathleen Kinsella
Kathleen Kinsella, age 95, of Hudson, Wisconsin, IA formerly of Esterville, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017, at the Comforts of Home of Hudson, Wisconsin.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Danbury, Iowa. Msgr. Kenneth Seifried will officiate; with Committal Services following in the Danbury Catholic Cemetery of Danbury, Iowa. A visitation will be held one-hour prior from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Danbury, Iowa. Kathleen passed away at age 95 on December 23, 2017, following complications from a fall.
She was born February 24, 1922, at Breda, IA, to Peter and Teresa (Ortner) Wolterman. The family moved to Danbury, IA, in March, 1924.
Kathleen attended St. Mary’s grade school and graduated from Danbury High School in 1939. After graduation she worked in the Cudahy Packing Company office for twelve years before moving to Estherville, IA, and working in the office at Golden Sun Feeds for twenty-eight years, retiring in 1986. Kathleen was united in marriage with Thomas Kinsella on November 24, 1951, in Sioux City, IA. Kathleen was a long-time member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville. She enjoyed bowling, watching sports on TV, playing cards and visits with friends and family. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and a life member of the VFW Auxilliary.
Kathleen is survived by her son, Timothy and his wife Jane (Heinen); grandsons, Dana, his wife Ashley (Schultz), and Tyler; great-granddaughter, Addison; sister, Kay Ehrhorn; brother, Peter Wolterman and his wife Lois; and many nieces and nephews.
Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas; brother, Marcellus; sisters, Ethel Kohler, Leota Schreiber, Vera Peterson, Lois Uhl, and Ardis Baker.
Her sweet smile will be missed by all who knew her.
