Obituary for Karen Foxhoven
Denison, IA - Karen Foxhoven, 61, of Denison, Iowa and formerly of Mapleton, Iowa was found dead at her home in Denison, Iowa Wednesday, March 14, 2012. The funeral Mass will be Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mapleton, Iowa with Rev. Brian Danner officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at Mapleton. Visitation will be Monday, April 2, 2012 after 5:00 p.m. with a Vigil Wake service at 7:00 p.m. followed by the Rosary at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton. Karen Ann Foxhoven was born January 11, 1951, at Mapleton, Iowa, the daughter of Joe and Veronica Foxhoven. She was baptized at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mapleton and received her education at Maple valley School in Mapleton, graduating with the class of 1969. Karen worked at Storm Lake, Iowa at "Alf's" until 1984 when she moved to Denison, Iowa. There she was employed at Ampride for many years. In her spare time, Karen enjoyed making many beautiful afghans that she graciously shared with her family. Those left to cherish her memory include her two brothers and their wives, Denny and Marlene Foxhoven of Ida Grove,. Iowa and Ron and Kathy Foxhoven of Spencer, Iowa; one sister and her husband, Alice and Gene Wimmer of Mapleton, Iowa; and many extended relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Richard Foxhoven; two sisters-in law, Noreen Foxhoven and Beverly Foxhoven; and one nephew, Joseph Foxhoven.
