Obituary for Eugene F. Hayworth
Eugene Francis Hayworth was born to Gracen and Mary (Walling) Hayworth on the family farm south of Anthon on June 22, 1924. He attended school in Anthon through the eighth grade when he joined his father on the farm. A true farmer and lifelong Anthon resident, Eugene, farmed along with custom baling, combining, and custom corn shelling over a wide radius of around Anthon. Eugene married Bonnie Fuller on December 11, 1945, in Federated Church in Oto. To this union two children were born, Ruth and Phillip. They were members of United Methodist Church in Anthon. Family members left to cherish their memories of Eugene include his wife of 67 years, Bonnie; his daughter, Ruth Hayworth of Des Moines; his son, Phillip Hayworth and his wife, Stella of Anthon; 4 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; his brother, Herman Hayworth and his wife Mildred of Fair Oaks, CA; a nephew, Robert and his wife Marty Hayworth of Chico, CA; nieces Linda Strode of Kewanee, IL, and Nancy her husband Dean Riesterer of Fort Wayne, IN; and great nephews. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Gracen and Mary Hayworth.
