Doris Waugh, age 95, of Sioux City, Iowa, (formerly of rural Moville and Anthon, Iowa) passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Whispering Creek Senior Living in Sioux City, Iowa, surrounded by her loving family.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the Rock Branch United Methodist Church, rural Correctionville, Iowa. Rev. Eric Sayonkon will officiate. Graveside Services will follow in the Fairfield Cemetery in Rock Branch, rural Correctionville, Iowa.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the Rock Branch United Methodist Church, rural Correctionville, Iowa.

Doris Lorraine (Livermore) Waugh was born on September 26, 1929, to Glenn and Lila (Smith) Livermore in rural Anthon, Iowa. A lifelong resident of the Anthon and Moville, Iowa, area, Doris graduated from Anthon High School with the Class of 1947.
On November 25, 1948, she was united in marriage to Leonard Edwin Waugh in Sioux City, Iowa. The couple first made their home near Anthon, and in 1951, they purchased a farm near Moville, where they farmed and raised their five children. Doris and Leonard retired in 1986 and moved back to Anthon in 1991.
Doris and Leonard shared a love of music from their era, enjoying big bands, ballroom dancing, and also loved to square dance. In 2008, they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows, surrounded by the love and support of family and friends.
Doris was a devoted and longtime member of the Rock Branch United Methodist Church. She found joy in tending to her flower beds, gardening, and canning the fruits of her labor. She is fondly remembered as an excellent cook, well known for her delicious pies, breads, crisps, cinnamon rolls, grandma noodles, and dumplings. She was a proud member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed attending the Anthon All-School Reunion each year. Doris also served as a judge for the Woodbury County Fair, evaluating a variety of baked goods over the years.
Later in life, Doris moved to Whispering Creek Senior Living, where she greatly enjoyed visits from her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Terry (Linda) Waugh of Moville, IA; Linda (Greg) Baedke of Vermillion, SD; Steven Waugh (husband Duane Kjelden) of Sioux Falls, SD; Lisa (Greg) Fravel of Sioux City, IA; and Kirk (Tammie) Waugh of Brandon, SD. Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren: Ben, Andrea, Ryan (Staci), Aaron (Jami), Kellen (Braedyn), Corey (Michaela), McKenzie (Luke), and Alex (Madi); 10 great-grandchildren; her brother Dean (Mary) Livermore of Moville, IA; as well as extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Waugh; her parents, Glenn and Lila Livermore; her brother Wayne (LorRayne) Livermore; and her sister LaVonne (Bob) Karhoff.
