Dennis Wayne Livermore was born on August 23, 1949, in Canby, MN, the son of Wayne and Deloris (Laabs) Livermore. His family later moved to Mapleton, IA, where Dennis attended Maple Valley School and graduated with the class of 1967.

In February of 1969, Dennis joined the Air Force serving his country honorably during the Vietnam War. He rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant and was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal.

On July 31, 1970, Dennis was united in marriage with Anne Pope. The couple lived in Mapleton and raised their family there. They were blessed with daughters Kim, Karen, and Maggie; and sons Jon, Ynez, Kyle, Bryan, and Danny. Dennis and Anne were also foster parents for 20 years, sharing their home and hearts with many special children.

Dennis was very involved in many church and community activities. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, hunting, fishing, working on “the 47”, and going to gun shows and car shows. He lived the motto “God, Family, and Country” in his everyday life. Nothing was more important to him than family, especially his grandkids and great-grandkids who were the sparkle in his eye.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Anne Livermore of Mapleton, IA; his children Kim (Jeff) Fineran of Manilla, IA, Karen (Jason) Wood of Mapleton, IA; Jon (Claudia) Livermore of Early, IA; Ynez Curiel of Sioux City, IA, Kyle Livermore of Sioux City, IA, Bryan Livermore of New York, NY, Maggie Livermore of Mapleton, IA, and Danny Livermore of Mapleton, IA; grandchildren Seth (Emily Boeck) Fineran, Lexi Fineran, Erin (Elvin Castro) Fineran, Coby Fineran, Ayla Fineran, Draven (Ali) Smizer, Bo Wood, McKayla (Brandon Dean) Wood, Logan Livermore, Ashlyn Livermore, Laycin Livermore, Alexis Curiel, and Noah Curiel; great-grandchildren Hudson, Juniper, Faith, Rustin, Owen and Ryker; and many other special kids that stole his heart through the years; mother, Deloris Livermore of Mapleton, IA; siblings, Peggy (Kimbo) Ketelsen of Castana, IA; Kathy (Larry) Wunschel of Mapleton, IA; and Mark Livermore of Mapleton, IA.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Livermore; his maternal and paternal grandparents; one angel baby; one angel great-grandbaby; numerous aunts, uncles and extended family.
