Debra Kroll, age 59, of Schleswig, Iowa, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025, at her residence of Schleswig, Iowa.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 25, 2025, at the St. Clair Township Cemetery of Ute, Iowa. A luncheon will follow at Noon at the Mapleton City Park of Mapleton, Iowa.

Debra Leann Kroll, the daughter of Paul and Marilyn (Kirkpatrick) Palmer, was born on May 5, 1966, in Onawa, Iowa. She grew up in the Smithland, Iowa, area and received her education from the Westwood Community School District.
In August of 1983 she met Brent Kroll and the two married on March 6, 1987, in Elk Point, South Dakota. The couple was blessed with seven children: Heath, Nathan, Trenton, Amber, Sierra, Breckan, and Ethan. Debra enjoyed being a homemaker taking care of their family. The couple settled down in Ricketts, Iowa, in October of 1998.
In her spare time Debra enjoyed drawing, online shopping, and tending to her plants; even though she didn’t have much of a green thumb. She could often be found watching Judge Judy, People’s Court, and Untold Stories of the ER on television. Debra also enjoyed going on motorcycle rides with Brent and caring for her beloved dog, Fancy. She loved spending time outside watching the birds as well as people watching. Most of all, Debra treasured time spent with her family. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her children Heath Kroll of Ricketts, IA, Nathan (Ashley Matheny) Kroll of Ricketts, IA, Trenton Kroll of Schleswig, IA, Amber Kroll of Schleswig, IA, Sierra (Mitch Jorgensen) Kroll of Ricketts, IA, Breckan (Zaira) Kroll of Dunlap, IA and Ethan (Heather Dewald) Kroll of Ricketts, IA; grandchildren Kaitlyn Kroll of Audubon, IA, Shelly (Dylan) Fassler of Ida Grove, IA, Philip Wilkerson of Corning, IA, Aaron Kroll of Ricketts, IA, Jailynn Kroll of Ricketts, IA, LeAsia Kroll of Ricketts, IA and Nolan Kroll-Simons of Sioux City, IA; great-granddaughters Raelynn and Emerson Fassler of Ida Grove, IA; mother Marilyn Palmer of Smithland, IA; sisters Carla Palmer of Schleswig, IA and Kris (Fred) Barge of Whiting, IA; brothers Jeff Palmer of Bristow, NE, Curt (Vicky) Palmer of Whiting, IA and James Palmer of Smithland, IA; sister-in-law Pam (Bill) Campbell of Sioux Falls, SD; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Brent Kroll; father Paul Palmer; brothers Kevin, John “Chewy”, and Bryan “Pee Wee” Palmer; in-laws Delbert (Dorothy) Kroll; grandparents; nephews Robert Palmer, Donald Palmer and Cory Theeler; as well as extended family.
