Dana Rae Worrell was born on December 7, 1969, in Denver, Colorado, to Gary and Karen (Buol) Worrell. The family moved to Sioux City, Iowa, by the time Dana started her schooling at Immaculate Conception. When she was ten, the family found their forever home in Smithland, Iowa. Dana attended Westwood Community School and graduated with the class of 1988. She then attended Western Iowa Tech Community College and gained skills she used later at her job at MCI.

In 1991 Dana was united in marriage to Spencer Yockey at the home of her parents in Smithland. The couple welcomed three children to their family: Taylor, Brittney and Alexandria. They made their home in the Smithland area until parting ways.

Dana was not one to stay in one place for very long, living in Sioux City and other towns in the area until making her home in Onawa, Iowa, for the past year. She was a people person and loved spending time with her dad, Gary, and brother, James. Dana enjoyed music and reading in her spare time. She loved watching her children grow and develop into adulthood.

She is survived by her children Taylor Yockey of Castle Rock, CO, Brittney Yockey of Fort Meade, MD and Alexandria Yockey of Marcus, IA; grandchildren Ember and Spencer Deming; father Gary Worrell of Smithland, IA; brother James Worrell of Smithland, IA; many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother Karen Worrell.
