Colleen Faye “Coco” Maendele was born in Onawa, Iowa, on May 15, 1978, to Randy E. Zimmerman and Bernita L. Bridgeman, entering the world shortly before her twin sister Kathleen. Throughout her life, the twin sisters were inseparable; where one was the other was right there. She was raised in Ute, Iowa and attended Charter Oak-Ute Community School.

Colleen was married to Ricky Maendele but the couple parted ways. Later Colleen met her significant other Mark Loutsch and they spent many happy years together. Due to their mutual love of animals, they raised a number of fur babies.

Colleen had a heart of gold and a great love for her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She loved doing crafts and making treasures for them and for her twin sister. She also enjoyed spending time with a good book. Colleen had a happy-go-lucky personality and put it to good use in her employment at area casinos and the LeMars Walmart.

Left to cherish her memory are her significant other Mark Loutsch of Pipestone, MN; mother Bernita Langwell of Kingsley, IA; stepfather Kenneth Langwell of Sweethome, OR; siblings Amy (Kenneth) McKinney of LeMars, IA, John (Keni Lea) Zimmerman of Waldon, CO, Brandy (Tonny) Rus of Kingsley, IA, Kathleen Kulger of LeMars, IA, Amber Rodriguez of New Mexico, Kenneth (Joy) Langwell, Jr. of Allen, NE, Cheri Berner (Jason Neumayer) of Des Moines, IA, Kristy Langwell of Des Moines, IA, Roxanne (Mike) Block of Remsen, IA, McKayla Zimmerman of Macy, NE and Miranda (Daniel) Harrison of Nebraska; grandmother Ruby Langwell of Montana; nieces, nephews, great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Randy Zimmerman; grandparents Kenneth Sr. and Helen “Ruthie” Hopkins, Willard and Peggy Bridgeman, Ronald and Darlene Zimmerman, and Ray and Peggy Jean Langwell; siblings Martin Zimmerman and Kelly Langwell; uncle Ronnie Bridgeman; nephew Tyler Henry; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
