Bonnie Lee Parker was born on June 16, 1952, to Thomas and Helen Dunham in Kansas City, Missouri. Bonnie’s journey ended on February 26, 2023, at the Elmwood Care Center in Onawa, Iowa.

Bonnie married her true love Paul Douglas “Doug” Parker on May 5, 2001. They got to travel to St. Thomas and Hawaii together, places that she had only dreamt about. She worked as a seamstress most of her life. She loved doing crafts and started a small candle business. Other hobbies of Bonnie’s were watching NASCAR races, collecting hummingbirds and wind chimes, going fishing, and putting puzzles together. She spent many years in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee, which was her favorite place to be. Bonnie’s family was always the most important thing to her.

For many years she was a single mom of four. She gave everything she could to her kids and family. Bonnie was strong and full of love for everyone.

Bonnie lived her life according to her favorite Bible verse: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. (1 Corinthians 4-7)

Survivors include her husband Paul “Doug” Parker; children: Crystal Dunham, James Lytton, Georgia Lytton, and April Elliott; 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren with another on the way; and extended family and friends.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents Helen Dunham and Thomas Dunham, and siblings: Penny, Patty, Carole, and James, and her beloved doggie Daisy.
