Betty Hartigan, age 67, of Onawa, Iowa (formerly of Ute, Iowa), passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020, at the Elmwood Care Center of Onawa, Iowa.

Elizabeth J. “Betty” Hartigan, the daughter of Veryle and Donna (Barnes) Buck, was born on December 12, 1952, in Salina, KS.
Betty’s family moved frequently due to her father serving his country in the United States Air Force. In 1971, Betty graduated from high school in Anchorage, Alaska, and continued her education to obtain a license as a beautician.
On July 6, 1974, Betty was united in marriage to Everett Hartigan in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Mapleton, Iowa. To this union a son Christopher “Chris” was born.
Betty enjoyed refurbishing and upholstery furniture, gardening, canning and cooking.
Survivors include her son Chris and his wife Michelle Hartigan along with grandson Gavin of Sloan, IA; brother Dale (Nancy) Buck of Hermitage, MO; and sister Debbie (Dave) Schilling of Sheldon, IA.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and husband Everett Hartigan (January 12, 2006).
