Grant and Cindy 712-882-2566 Alta Hesse Mapleton,IA - Alta Hesse, 84, of Mapleton, Iowa and formerly of Smithland, Iowa passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Maple Heights Nursing Home in Mapleton. Funeral services will be Monday, March 26, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Mapleton with Pastor Scott Jensen officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Sioux Township Cemetery at Smithland, Iowa. Visitation will be Sunday, March 25 after 5:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton.
