Alice M. Davis, age 62, of Castana, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at the MercyOne Siouxland Regional Medical Center of Sioux City, Iowa.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the Castana Community United Church of Christ of Castana, Iowa. Pastor Linda Boggs will officiate. Committal Services will follow in the Kennebec Cemetery of Castana, Iowa.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Friday, June 21, 2024, at the Armstrong-Van Houten Funeral Home of Mapleton, Iowa.

Alice Margaret Davis, the daughter of Samuel and Betty (Stegemann) Malone, was born on November 28, 1961, in Dow City, Iowa. She grew up in the Dow City-Arion, Iowa, area and graduated from Denison High School.
On February 12, 1983, Alice was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Davis, in Dow City. The couple was blessed with three children: Jessica, Matthew, and Corey. The family made their home in Castana, Iowa, where Alice enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom raising their children. Once the children were older, Alice obtained her CNA certification and worked at Maple Heights Nursing Home and Elmwood Care Center.
Alice had many interests including baking, sewing, going to garage sales, camping, feeding birds, and attending the Plymouth County Fair. She enjoyed going on drives in the country with her husband with occasional stops for ice cream in Dunlap, Iowa. Most important to Alice, was her family. She treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory include her husband Bob Davis of Castana, IA; daughter Jessica Davis and her children Brayden, Landyn, Lyla, and BrayAnna of Castana, IA; son Corey (Angela) Davis and their children Benjamin, Joshua, Emerie, and Mattilyn of Harlan, IA; brothers Lawrence (Paula) Malone of Defiance, IA and Ernie (Wendy) Malone of Harlan, IA; mother-in-law Benita Davis of Onawa, IA; sister-in-law Debra Hahn of Whiting, IA; niece Lindsay Hahn of Oklahoma; extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Betty Malone; son Matthew Davis; sister Theresa Rose Malone (in infancy); brother Marco Malone; father-in-law Russell Davis; and nephew Lawrence Ladel Malone.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Monona County Police Department, ambulance crew and emergency room staff at Burgess Health Center for their care of Alice and family during their time of need.
