Aaron “Chubs” Gotto, age 33, of Mapleton, Iowa, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2017, due to injuries sustained in an auto accident.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 4, 2017 at the Armstrong-Van Houten Funeral Home of Mapleton, Iowa. Rev. Jena Manchester will officiate; Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the Armstrong – Van Houten Funeral Home of Mapleton, Iowa. Aaron N. ‘Chubs” Gotto was born on May 5th, 1984, in Onawa, IA. He graduated from Maple Valley –Anthon- Oto High School. He was currently employed with Koster Grain where he was passionate about his job and the people he worked with. Aaron married the love of his life Kristi ‘Huffy’ Gotto on June 21st, 2014, at Southwoods Park. The couple was blessed with one daughter, Madison Gotto (age10) who is a huge ‘Daddy’s Girl”.
Aaron’s favorite hobbies were fishing, working on cars, riding the 4 wheeler with his daughter Madison, spending time with his friends, and rooting for the Green Bay Packers! He will always be remembered for being the life of the party, having an endless sense of humor, and his smile that was contagious.
Aaron is survived by his wife Kristi Gotto of Mapleton; daughter Madison of Mapleton; mother Patty Gotto of Mapleton; brother Michael Banta of Mapleton and brother Ryan Gotto (Katie) of Mapleton; mother and father- in-law Tammy and Charlie Brown Jr. of Castana; brother-in- law Brad Poole (Jamie) of Blencoe, sister- in- law Christen Brown and her special friend Matt Leitz of Ute, nieces, nephews, numerous other relatives and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Duane Banta; his paternal and maternal grandparents; and two lifelong friends Robbie Palmer and Chris Divis.
